JAMP 2022-2023 MCAT Prep Timeline (Updated May 2022)

JAMP 2021-2022 MCAT Handbook (Updated November 2021)

Phase I - Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS) Enrichment

The implementation of the new MCAT has proven that students need to be proficient in being able to decipher complex passages and identify relevant information.

All JAMP participants receive CARS Enrichment as part of their Summer I experience.

Phase II - Science Enrichment in Biology, Chemistry, and Biochemistry

JAMP participants will take a Knowledge Assessment Test to determine their baseline proficiency in foundational concepts of Biology and General Chemistry.

Students will be assigned to both of following Phase II programs:

  • General Chemistry (2 hrs/week)
  • Biology (2 hrs/week)

Phase III - MCAT Preparation

Students will receive the following resources as part of the Live Online Kaplan preparation:

  • Live Online Program – 300+ hours of comprehensive prep over 6 months taught in a live online class with designated class dates and times. Provides students with access to the Kaplan Library of MCAT Preparation modules.

MCAT Score Requirement

For more information regarding the MCAT Exam, please visit the AAMC website.

The minimum MCAT score that must be achieved to qualify for Medical School will be a total score of 502 with no section score less than 124. Participants who fail to meet this requirement risk dismissal from the program.

JAMP requires that you to take the MCAT by the established deadline set by the JAMP council.
